Fabrication Information and Process

Our glass cover plates are real glass not Plexiglas or clear plastic. They are manufactured and assembled in Indiana. The glass is 3/16” thick allowing beautiful polished edge work. All plates have a patent pending break through in a “screwless” attachment to the wall. LPI uses the same epoxy painted glass that is used for commercial stoves, ovens, and refrigerators, resulting in visual uniformity through out the kitchen, or whole house. The screwless fasteners were developed using advanced technology from the automotive industry. Our plates are not manufactured from “art glass” and do not create a centerpiece on the wall. The result is a seamless elegant finish for the discerning homeowner. As one Interior Designer stated, “it’s a shame homeowner spend considerable time and money upgrading their home only to trim out the devices with a 50 cent face plate”.

The best part of the LPI glass plate is they are universal fit. Our plates fit onto any manufacturer’s decorator devices! If you have motion sensors, volume control, garbage disposal, dimmers, 3 ways, etc LPI plates will fit with our patent pending universal mounting. Our plates will not fit old style toggle switches or oval receptacles. Glass plates are available in 1 through 4 gang, custom sizes and openings are available.

LPI’s stainless veneer cover plates are manufacturer with 26 gage, 304 aircraft grade brushed stainless. The stainless is adhered with industrial grade patented Loctite Hot Melt. These are real brushed stainless plates without any exposed screws or fasteners.

Stainless Steel devices are manufactured with a non-conductive German manufactured veneer, eliminating any hazard of electrical shock. The stainless finish incorporates “SRS” or scratch resistant surface, which eliminates fingerprints and is impervious to household cleaners. The scratch, fingerprint, and chemical resisting surface is only what appliance manufactures dream about. LPI’s “SRS” material is also applied to our cover plates offering a completely stainless front end to your household wiring devices.
